This technical odyssey required heaps of R&D, a touch of product innovation plus a side of cost reduction to bring this plastic card printing project alive.

At the heart of this campaign is a personalised card with the KFC brand icon. Using Pantone and metallic ink, we printed a series of white, red and gold cards.
The biggest challenge was making the barcode scan reliably, without being visible from the front. Lots of R&D on ink density and barcode size, impacting final card design.
We made a 4pp A5 leaflet for both the UK and Ireland with a die cut aperture. The card was glued inside the leaflet with barcode visible to enable brisk scanning at the tills.
